In 1976 Bernd Martin moved to Granada, Spain to be initiated into the art of guitar-making. Bernd Martin was the first non-Spaniard to establish his own workshop in the city of the guitar. To-date he has completed over 400 hand-crafted instruments. Bernd Martin is also tutor of his son Lucas Martin, with whom he is sharing the workshop since 2006.
